GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's swimming and diving team opened its 2026 home schedule Friday night by dropping a 161-98 decision to national power Calvin in a non-conference dual meet in James E. Longnecker Pool. 

Three Grove City swimmers earned individual wins Friday night. Senior Sadie Shofestall (Brookville, Pa./Brookville) won the 50 free in a time of 25.25 seconds while freshman Addison Vance (Butler, Pa./Butler) won the 100 butterfly in 60.52 seconds. 

Freshman Abigail Vance (Butler, Pa./Butler) captured the 100 individual medley in a time of 62.73. She also took second in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.79). 

Freshman Abby Tweed (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) took second in the 50 butterfly with a time of 28.09 seconds. Sophomore Ellie Webster (Westfield, Ind./Westfield) took second in the 100 free (55.48). Freshman Chaeli Keenan (New Alexandria, Pa./Derry) placed second in 3-meter diving with a total of 233.90 points.

Grove City (5-5) will host Washington & Jefferson at 1 p.m. Saturday in a Presidents' Athletic Conference dual meet.
