GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Junior midfielder Noah Gray (Glen Mills, Pa./The Christian Academy) scored a hat trick and assisted on a fourth goal Saturday afternoon to help lift the Grove City College men's soccer team to a 5-1 victory over visiting Allegheny in Presidents' Athletic Conference play at Don Lyle Field.

Junior forward Carlo Denis (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) and freshman midfielder Owen Whitehead (Mesa, Ariz./Arete Prep) also scored for the Wolverines, who have won four straight matches.

Gray gave Grove City (5-2-1, 2-0) a 1-0 lead at 7:24 with an unassisted goal. He doubled the lead at 11:53 when he scored on a penalty kick.

The lead swelled to 3-0 at the 22-minute mark when Denis scored his second goal of the season. Gray provided the assist.

Allegheny trimmed the lead to 3-1 by halftime when Will Gruca scored at 41:19. However, the Wolverines sewed up the win with a pair of goals in the final 23 minutes. Gray completed his hat trick at 67:26 after receiving assists from senior defender Luke Kimmich (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) and sophomore midfielder Luke Ladas (Parsippany, N.J./Parsippany Hills).

Whitehead closed the scoring at 82:21 with his second goal of the campaign. Freshman forward Judah Gray (Glen Mills, Pa./The Christian Academy) assisted Whitehead's goal.

Grove City earned a 14-10 edge in total shots, along with an 8-2 margin in shots on goal. Freshman goalie Keller Krieger (Jacksonville, Fla./Providence) made one save to earn his fourth win of the season.

Allegheny accumulated nine corner kicks while the Wolverines had six corners.
