GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College softball team dropped a 6-0 decision Friday afternoon to No. 2 seed Westminster in the winner's bracket final of the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Tournament at College Field. Top-seeded Grove City (25-12) remains alive in the tournament, however, and will play an elimination game Saturday at 12 p.m.

Abigail Meadors (Warren, Ohio/Champion) doubled for Grove City while senior first baseman
Brooke Brodie (Mogadore, Ohio/Mogadore) singled.Â
Meadors (12-5) allowed three earned runs in five innings, taking the setback. She struck out four. Brodie pitched the final two innings, yielding three unearned runs.Â
Westminster (27-11) scored single runs in the first, fourth and fifth innings. The Titans then scored twice in the sixth inning and added an unearned run in the final inning.Â
Grove City will face either Geneva or Thiel in the second game of Saturday's schedule. Geneva and Thiel meet in an elimination game at 10 a.m. The winner advances to play the Wolverines. That subsequent winner will face Westminster in the championship round.
