GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College softball team concluded its record-breaking 2025 season Thursday afternoon by splitting a pair of games at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Tournament. The Wolverines rallied for a 10-9 win over Geneva in Thursday's opener, which also marked Grove City's program-best 26th win of the season.
The win advanced Grove City to the championship round. Westminster downed host Grove City in the final game, 7-0, at College Field.
Grove City (26-13) trailed Geneva (30-13) in the bottom of the seventh inning, 9-7, before storming back for the win. Junior catcher
Kristin Tesch (Clinton Township, Mich./Chippewa Valley) belted a game-tying two-run double with two outs that scored junior pitcher
Kyla Campbell (Altoona, Pa./Glendale) and sophomore pinch runner
Abby Stouffer (Greencastle, Pa./Greencastle-Antrim).
Tesch then scored the winning run moments later when sophomore left fielder
Evelyn Montone (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) singled to center field.

Brooke Brodie (Mogadore, Ohio/Mogadore), senior second baseman
Maci Linhart (Columbiana, Ohio/Columbiana), senior third baseman
Rachel Zona (New Castle, Pa./New Castle), junior center fielder
Noel Anthony (Clarion, Pa./Clarion) and sophomore DP

Montone's leadoff line drive home run in the first inning tied the game. Geneva reclaimed a 3-1 lead in the top of the second inning but the Wolverines countered with four runs in the bottom of the second inning. Campbell doubled in senior right fielder
Annika Rinehart (McDonald, Pa./Fort Cherry) while Zona scored the tying run on an error.
Campbell scored on Montone's groundout and Tesch later came home on a Linhart single. In the fifth inning, Zona gave Grove City a 7-4 lead when her two-run single plated Anthony and Brodie.
Geneva rallied with five runs in the top of the sixth inning, highlighted by pinch hitter Callie Mangan's go-ahead three-run homer.
Campbell pitched 1 2/3 innings of relief to secure the win. Sophomore
Abigail Meadors (Warren, Ohio/Champion) pitched 5 1/3 innings. She struck out three and allowed 10 hits.
Anthony, Linhart, Meadors and Zona all had singles for the Wolverines. Campbell (10-4) allowed three earned runs in four innings. Meadors pitched the final three innings in relief. She allowed two runs and two hits.
The Wolverines finished the conference schedule 15-5, earning the top seed in the conference tournament as well as the league's regular season title. Grove City's previous single-season win record, 25 victories, came last season.
Grove City will lose Brodie, Linhart, Rinehart and Zona to graduation.
