ERIE, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's volleyball team concluded its inaugural regular season by dropping a pair of non-conference matches Saturday afternoon at Penn State Behrend. Buffalo State picked up a 25-18, 30-28, 25-16 win over the Wolverines in Saturday's opener. Grove City then fell to host Behrend in the finale at the Junker Center, 23-25, 25-14, 25-16, 25-20.

Max Gianneski (Butler, Pa./Butler) led Grove City (13-14) with 10 kills against Buffalo State while sophomore
Carson Good (Jeannette, Pa./Penn-Trafford) added five kills in two sets of action. Sophomore setter
Craig Fair (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) recorded 22 assists.Â

Tieg Malcolm (New Philadelphia, Ohio/Homeschooled) led the defense with seven blocks while Gianneski collected three blocks. Freshman libero
Ben McVey (Midlothian, Va./Cosby) recorded a dozen digs and Gianneski collected seven digs.Â

Derrick Lambert (Denver, Pa./Garden Spot) and sophomore
Andrew Kessler (Jeannette, Pa./Penn-Trafford) both posted nine kills against Penn State Behrend. Malcolm added eight kills and also served four aces.
Fair tallied 33 assists. Good and Malcolm led the defense with two blocks. McVey totaled 11 digs and senior
Quintin Norris (Savannah, N.Y./North Rose-Wolcott) recorded 10 digs.Â
Grove City will be the No. 2 seed in next week's Presidents' Athletic Conference tournament. The Wolverines will host a tournament semifinal Thursday, April 10 at 7 p.m. Grove City will face either No. 3 Hiram or No. 6 Chatham. Those teams will meet in the quarterfinals Tuesday night.
