GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's tennis team improved to 5-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference by capturing a 7-0 win Friday over visiting Washington & Jefferson (7-8, 4-2) at Walters-Zbell Courts.
Grove City (8-3) grabbed a 1-0 lead by taking all three doubles matches. Five straight-set singles wins help vault Grove City to the team victory. Freshman
Ryan Kirkpatrick (Muscatine, Iowa/Muscatine) completed the sweep with a tiebreaker win at fourth singles.
Grove City honored its two seniors,
Nathan Clark (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) and
Wesley Kiehl (Warren, Pa./Warren) as part of Senior Day activities Friday afternoon.
The Wolverines will host Saint Vincent at 4 p.m. Saturday in conference play.
