ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The Grove City College women's tennis team opened the spring portion of the 2024-25 season Saturday afternoon by securing a 4-3 victory at Mount Union in non-conference action.
Grove City (11-3) swept all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point in the seven-point scoring format. The Wolverines then split the six singles bouts to secure the team victory.Â
Four of the six singles matches went to three sets. Sophomore
Peyton Joines (Glen Rock, Pa./Susquehannock) and junior
Julia Ehrenberger (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) both rallied for three-set wins after dropping the first set at second and sixth singles, respectively.Â
Grove City will face Ohio Northern at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy March 29.
