GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team earned a 2-0 home victory Wednesday evening over longtime rival Geneva in the semifinal round of the 2025 Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Tournament, held at Don Lyle Field.
The top-seeded Wolverines (14-2-2) will now host second-seeded Franciscan in Saturday's championship match at 1 p.m. Franciscan decisioned Allegheny in the other semifinal Wednesday, 5-2.
Grove City grabbed a 1-0 lead 11:12 into the game when junior midfielder
Noah Gray (Glen Mills, Pa./The Christian Academy) curled a corner kick into the net for his conference-best 14th goal of the season. It is also Gray's team-leading fourth game-winning goal of 2025.
The Wolverines then sealed the win with six minutes remaining in regulation as junior forward
Ryan Merrick (Cranberry Township, Pa./Eden Christian) blasted in his fifth goal of the season. Junior defender
Colton Hudson (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) assisted Merrick's insurance goal at 84:01.
Grove City's defense did not allow fifth-seeded Geneva to record a shot on goal. The Wolverines put eight shots on goal and held an overall 13-5 edge in shots. Grove City had five corner kicks while Geneva netted four corners.

Keller Krieger (Jacksonville, Fla./Providence) recorded the shutout victory.
Grove City defeated Franciscan during the regular season October 15, 4-2, at Don Lyle Field. The Barons (10-8-2) are the defending conference champions, having earned a 2-1 home win over the Wolverines in the 2024 conference tournament title match.
