GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's tennis team pulled out a 4-1 victory Thursday afternoon at Walters-Zbell Courts over visiting Franciscan in the semifinal round of the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Tournament. 
Grove City captured the team doubles point by winning at second and third doubles. Senior 
Peyton Joines (Glen Rock, Pa./Susquehannock) and freshman 
Blaire Beatty (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Bloomfield Christian) gave second-seeded Grove City a 3-0 lead in the match by winning in straight sets respectively at third and sixth singles.
Freshman 
Emma Flanigan (Columbus, Ohio/Worthington Christian) clinched the team win by securing a three-set win at fifth singles.
Third-seeded Franciscan (8-3) reached the semifinals by defeating No. 6 Saint Vincent in the quarterfinals Tuesday, 4-0. 
Grove City (9-3) will visit top-seeded Allegheny in the championship match, which will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Meadville. Allegheny blanked No. 4 W&J in the other semifinal match, 4-0.
