GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Eleven Grove City College men's lacrosse players scored goals Wednesday night to help lift the top-seeded Wolverines to a 23-10 victory over visiting Allegheny in the semifinals of the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Tournament, held at Robert E. Thorn Field.
Grove City will host No. 2 seed Saint Vincent in Saturday's championship game at 7 p.m. Saint Vincent edged third-seeded Westminster in Wednesday's other semifinal, 9-7.
Seven men produced multi-goal outings, including four-goal performances from sophomore attack 
Matt Blythe (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) and sophomore attack 
Zachary Hougan (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro). Freshman attack 
Kobi Bui (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) pumped in three goals and added an assist for a four-point night.

Brett Gladstone (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge), junior midfielder 
Luke Jayne (Vero Beach, Fla./Saint Edward's), freshman midfielder 
Boden Davidson (Scottsdale, Ariz./Scottsdale Christian) and freshman attack 
Rigdon Greene (Marietta, Ga./Pope) all scored twice. Gladstone also had a team-leading five assists, giving him a season-best seven points.

Trey Zabroski (Mountain Top, Pa./Danville), freshman attack 
Mac Faircloth (Greensboro, N.C./Page) and freshman midfielder

Blythe, Bui, Gladstone and Jayne scored consecutive goals over the final 6:39 of the first quarter to give the Wolverines a 5-2 lead after 15 minutes. Hougan scored three times in the second quarter as Grove City extended its lead to 11-2. Blythe's goal with eight seconds left in the half put Grove City up 14-5 at the intermission.
Fourth-seeded Allegheny trimmed the lead to 15-8 in the third quarter. However, Davidson, Kennedy and Blythe all scored in an 80-second span to help the Wolverines regain control of the game.

Brock Simmons (Akron, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) also had assists.

David Kraus (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) led Grove City (9-8 overall) with five ground balls. Sophomore midfielder 
Jason Muench (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) collected three ground balls, as did freshman defender 
Sam Stevenson (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove), freshman long stick midfielder 
Ryan Evans (Crofton, Md./DeMatha) and freshman faceoff specialist 
Sean Mahoney (Fort Myers, Fla./Canterbury).

Cody Adams (Pullman, Wash./Pullman) all caused two turnovers. Allegheny finished the game with 28 turnovers while Grove City had 19 turnovers. 
Grove City outshot Allegheny, 56-27. The Wolverines accumulated a 32-17 edge in shots on goal. Senior goalie 
Jack Petit (Pensacola, Fla./West Florida High School of Advanced Technology) made five saves in 44:37 to earn the win. Freshman 
Tyler Gladstone (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) made two saves in 15:23 of action.
Grove City will compete for its fourth straight conference title Saturday night against Saint Vincent. Grove City rallied for a 15-12 win March 29 at Saint Vincent in the regular season meeting.Â
