UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- The Grove City College men's lacrosse team closed its four-game road trip Wednesday night with a 15-12 setback at John Carroll in non-conference action at Don Shula Stadium. Grove City led 6-5 at halftime but John Carroll (3-1) scored seven straight goals during the third period to take the lead for good.

Kobi Bui (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) paced the Wolverines by scoring five times while senior midfielder
Brett Gladstone (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) fired in three goals. Sophomore attack
Matt Blythe (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) scored twice while junior midfielder
Luke Jayne (Vero Beach, Fla./Saint Andrew's) and sophomore midfielder
Alec Jones (Chesterfield, N.J./Notre Dame) each added a goal.Â
Bui tied the game at 5 with 7:11 remaining in the first half when he scored off an assist from sophomore forward
Zachary Hougan (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro). Gladstone's unassisted goal with 4:44 left in the half gave the Wolverines their 6-5 halftime lead.Â
John Carroll led 14-9 midway through the fourth quarter but Grove City posted three straight goals. Bui started the outburst by scoring off Hougan's fourth assist of the night. Jayne and Gladstone added unassisted goals, cutting the lead to 14-12 with 2:49 left.Â
However, John Carroll's Matt Berdysiak scored with 2:41 left to restore the Blue Streaks' three-goal lead.
Gladstone also assisted two goals and Bui tallied an assist.Â

Jackson Kennedy (Snohomish, Wash./Monroe) caused two turnovers.Â
Grove City finished the game with 21 turnovers while John Carroll had 22 turnovers. John Carroll outshot Grove City, 43-35. JCU won 21 of 31 faceoffs.
Petit made his first start of the season and made 10 saves.Â
Grove City returns home Saturday to face Messiah in non-conference action at Thorn Field. Saturday's game will start at 3 p.m.
