GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's basketball team used a 10-0 run over the final 2:18 of the game Wednesday night to slip past visiting Waynesburg, 60-53, in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at the Grove City College Arena. Wednesday's win clinches Grove City's berth in the eight-team, season-ending conference tournament.
Grove City (10-12, 8-9 PAC) trailed 49-44 with 6:18 remaining but the Wolverines held Waynesburg without a field goal for over six minutes. A three-pointer from sophomore guard

Kyle Randle (Willowick, Ohio/Eastlake North) put the Grove City ahead with 4:11 left.Â
After Waynesburg's Antone Baker tied the game with a free throw at the 3:39 mark, Grove City began its pivotal 10-0 spurt as sophomore forward
Ben Cano (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) scored from the block with 2:18 left.Â
Yarberough hit four consecutive free throws to give Grove City a 56-50 lead. Randle and Cano both sank two foul shots in the final 20 seconds to sew up the win.Â

Jonah Bock (Erie, Pa./McDowell) both fired in 15 points for Grove City. Cano added eight points while Randle and sophomore forward
John Ward (Charlotte, N.C./Covenant Day) each tossed in seven points.Â
Grove City jumped out to a 14-2 lead as Bock scored six straight early points. Freshman guard
Mike Christenson (Oakton, Va./Trinity) hit a jumper and a tip-in while senior center
Josh Bryan (Salem, Va./Salem) capped the early flurry with a layup off a backdoor assist from freshman forward
Christian Suceveanu (Pacific Palisades, Calif./Loyola).Â
Waynesburg rallied to take the lead on three occasions in the first half. Baker's two free throws with 29 seconds helped forge a 30-30 halftime tie.Â
Grove City finished the game 21 of 53 (40 percent) from the field. Waynesburg went 20 of 63 (32 percent) from the floor.Â
Suceveanu grabbed a team-high eight rebounds to help the Wolverines own a 44-36 edge on the glass. Bock and Cano both had six boards. Suceveanu also had a team-leading four assists.
Grove City finished with 15 turnovers, 11 of which came in the first half. Waynesburg turned over the ball seven times.Â
Baker led Waynesburg with 29 points.Â
Grove City will host Allegheny at 3 p.m. Saturday in conference action.
