GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Seven Grove City College men's lacrosse players scored goals Saturday afternoon but the Wolverines dropped a 14-12 decision to visiting Baldwin Wallace in non-conference action at Robert E. Thorn Field. 
Sophomore attack 
Zachary Hougan (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) fired in four goals as part of a six-point afternoon while senior midfielder 
Brett Gladstone (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) and freshman attack 
Mac Faircloth (Greensboro, N.C./Page) each scored twice. 
The Wolverines also received goals from junior midfielder 
Griffen Agawa (San Ramon, Calif./California), sophomore attack 
Matt Blythe (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima), sophomore midfielder 
Alec Jones (Chesterfield, N.J./Notre Dame) and junior midfielder 
Luke Jayne (Vero Beach, Fla./Saint Edward's).
Hougan scored twice in the first quarter to help Grove City take a 4-2 lead after one quarter. Jayne's man-up goal with 5:32 left in the half gave Grove City a 6-4 lead. However, Baldwin Wallace's Jonas Aquilla scored as time expired, cutting the Wolverines' lead to 6-5 at halftime.
Baldwin Wallace (1-2) then pulled ahead in the third quarter, 10-8, but Hougan's man-up tally with 27 seconds left in the period cut the lead to 10-9.
In the fourth quarter, Jones's unassisted score with 4:21 remaining pulled the Wolverines to within 14-12. 
Hougan also had two assists while Gladstone recorded an assist. 
Grove City held a 43-34 edge in total shots. Baldwin Wallace had 24 shots on goal while Grove City put 23 shots on goal. The Wolverines turned over possession 26 times while Baldwin Wallace had 17 turnovers. Gladstone, Jones and senior defender 
Cody Adams (Pullman, Wash./Pullman) all caused two turnovers.
Senior 
Max Chmura (Wadsworth, Ohio/St. Vincent-St. Mary) picked up eight ground balls for Grove City while sophomore 
Trey Zabroski (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) had five ground balls. 
Chmura won 14 of 20 faceoffs while Zabroski won seven of his eight opportunities.
Junior 
Danny Stone (Chantilly, Va./Flint Hill) made 10 saves in goal for Grove City.
The Wolverines return to action next Saturday against Coast Guard at the USA Lacrosse facility in Sparks, Md.
