BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team closed the 2023 season Saturday night with a 1-0 setback at top-seeded Geneva in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Tournament title match, held at Reeves Field.

Third-seeded Grove City (9-6-5) limited Geneva (12-4-4) to only six total shots and two shots on goal. Geneva converted on its first shot in the match, however, as Carnel Kerr scored at 20:44. Gabe Singh provided the assist.

Grove City outshot the Tornadoes, 9-6, along with a 6-2 edge in shots on goal. Geneva defenders cleared a pair of Grove City shots off the line in the second half, preserving the 1-0 lead.

Geneva doubled up Grove City in corner kicks, 6-3.

Sophomore goalkeeper Teddy Almeter (Monroeville, Pa./Serra) made one save for the Wolverines.
