GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's volleyball team dropped a 17-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-16 decision Wednesday night to visiting Bethany (18-5, 7-1 PAC) in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at the Grove City College Arena.
Senior
Anna DeGraaf (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) paced Grove City's balanced offensive attack with nine kills while freshman
Alexis Standford (Walkersville, Md./New Life Christian) posted eight kills. The Wolverines (17-9, 3-4) also received six kills each from senior
Eloise Sutter (West Chester, Ohio/Mars Hill) and freshman
Alayna Dorst (Middletown, Del./Middletown).
Junior setter
Kennedy Kerr (East Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) recorded 19 assists. Sophomore setter
Brooklyn Wirebaugh (Medina, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) added 10 assists. Kerr also served three aces, giving her a team-best 55 aces for the season.
Junior
Audrey Donnelly (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Woodridge) led Grove City's defensiev efforts with five blocks. DeGraaf had four blocks while Standford added three blocks. Dorst and senior
Grace Kim (Sanford, N.C./Harnett Warriors) both contributed a pair of blocks.
Freshman libero
Julia Fisher (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) recorded a match-high 36 digs. Kerr added 22 digs while senior
Gabby Lucas (Butler, Pa./Butler) finished with 14 digs.
Grove City visits conference rival Chatham at 12 p.m. Saturday in Pittsburgh.
