GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Six Grove City College volleyball players had at least five kills Friday night to help lift the Wolverines to a 25-11, 25-13, 25-20 victory over visiting Penn State-Greater Allegheny (12-5) in non-conference action at the Grove City College Arena.
Junior
Eloise Augustine (West Chester, Ohio/Mars Hill) and sophomore
Audrey Donnelly (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Woodridge) both recorded seven kills while senior
Faith Keating (Troy, Mich./Troy) and junior
Anna DeGraaf (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) each added six kills. Junior
Katie Pry (Enon, Ohio/Greenon) and freshman
Bella Costa (Newbury, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) both posted five kills.
Freshman setter
Brooklyn Wirebaugh (Medina, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) paced the Wolverines with 20 assists and sophomore
Kennedy Kerr (East Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) chalked up 16 assists. Wirebaugh also served three of Grove City's six aces.
Junior
Gabby Lucas (Butler, Pa./Butler) led Grove CIty's defense with 18 digs. Classmate
Grace Kim (Sanford, N.C./Homeschooled) posted 16 digs and Wirebaugh contributed 12 digs. DeGraaf had three blocks. Donnelly and Pry both had two blocks.
Grove City (12-8) returns to Presidents' Athletic Conference action Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. when the Wolverines visit Bethany.
