GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team posted its fourth straight shutout in Presidents' Athletic Conference play Tuesday night by securing a 3-0 win over host Thiel at Alumni Stadium. Grove City (6-5, 4-0 PAC) held Thiel to two shots for the match.
Grove City broke through at 17:01 when freshman midfielder
Aidan Eck (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) scored his first collegiate goal. Junior forward
Hunter Hardin (North Ridgeville, Ohio/Freeport) tallied his team-leading fourth assist of the season on Eck's goal.
The Wolverines sewed up the win with two goals in a 37-second span of the second half. Freshman midfielder
Daniel Sharp (Zagreb, Croatia/XV Gymnasium) doubled the lead to 2-0 with a goal at 80:00. Classmate
Matt Herrmann (Madison, Ala./Paul V. Moore) assisted the goal.

Jed Hart (Monrovia, Md./Urbana) clinched the win with an unassisted goal.
Grove City held a 25-2 edge in total shots. The Wolverines netted a dozen corner kicks while Thiel (0-10-2, 0-5 PAC) tallied two.Â

Jesse Greyshock (Tarentum, Pa./Deer Lakes) made two saves while notching his fifth shutout of the season.
Grove City returns home Saturday evening to host conference rival Geneva. Kickoff will be 7 p.m. at Don Lyle Field.
