WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team improved to 15-9 overall and 5-2 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference by capturing a 25-23, 18-25, 25-19, 25-21 road victory Saturday over conference rival Washington & Jefferson at Salvitti Family Gymnasium. Grove City has now won five of its last six matches, 8 of 10 and 15 of its last 19 outings.
Freshman
Bella Costa (Newbury, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) paced Grove City with 13 kills while junior
Anna DeGraaf (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) pounded out 10 kills. Seniors
Robyn Collier (Corona, Calif./Carnegie Riverside) and
Faith Keating (Troy, Mich./Troy) both tallied eight kills and sophomore
Audrey Donnelly (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Woodridge) added seven kills.
Sophomore
Kennedy Kerr (East Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) recorded 25 assists while freshman
Brooklyn Wirebaugh (Medina, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) posted 21 assists. Keating served two of Grove City's six aces.
DeGraaf and Donnelly both had four blocks while Collier collected three blocks. Junior libero
Gabby Lucas (Butler, Pa./Butler) led the Grove City defense with 32 digs. Junior
Grace Kim (Sanford, N.C./Homeschooled) recorded 18 digs and Keating contributed 13 digs.Â
Grove City will host Westminster at 7 p.m. Tuesday in conference action at the Grove City College Arena.
