WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's tennis team earned its second road victory in as many days Tuesday afternoon as the Wolverines earned an 8-1 non-conference victory at Lycoming. 

Grove City opened the match by sweeping the three doubles matches. The Wolverines dropped only one game in doubles play. 

"We played confident and composed in doubles," Grove City head coach Nathaniel Horner said. "The work we've put in at the net is paying off. I think that this was our best doubles performance thus far."

Each of Grove City's five singles wins came in straight sets. "Credit to Lycoming for putting up a solid fight in singles and hosting us today," Horner said. "Credit to Coach (LeRoy) Baer, they were disciplined and gritty through the end."

Grove City's road trip continues Wednesday at Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Waynesburg.
