SHARON, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's golf team captured fourth place Friday afternoon at the Thiel Invitational, held at Avalon at Buhl. Grove City posted a team score of 421 at the six-team event.
Senior
Kaylee Grieb (Wexford, Pa./Homeschooled) paced Grove City by taking 19th place. She shot a 99. Freshman
Tamar Walton (West Salem, Ohio/Northwestern) took 27th overall with a 106 while sophomore
Keely McKlveen (New Alexandria, Pa.) finished tied for 28th by shooting 108.
Sophomore
Annie Grace Smith (Attleboro, Mass.) joined McKlveen in 28th place by also carding a 108. Senior
Maddy Temple (Butler, Pa./Butler) rounded out Grove City's lineup with a 112, good for 31st.Â
Westminster's Erika Hoover earned medalist honors with a 77. Thirty-nine women competed in the tournament.
Grove City returns to action Tuesday, September 28 at the Saint Vincent Invitational.
