GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Four Grove City College women's basketball players scored in double figures Monday night but the Wolverines dropped a 78-74 overtime decision to visiting Saint Vincent in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at the Grove City College Arena. Saint Vincent improved to 7-0 while Grove City fell to 7-1.

Jess Bowen (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) and sophomore guard
Emma Vezzosi (St. Mary's County, Md./Leonardtown) both pumped in 17 points for the Wolverines. Senior guard
Lindsey Stanforth (Novelty, Ohio/West Geauga) fired in a career-high 11 points while junior forward
Allison Podkul (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) added 10 points.
Grove City took a 70-69 lead with 1:31 remaining in overtime when Stanforth drilled her third three-pointer of the game. However, Saint Vincent reclaimed the lead for good on the next possession as Carlee Kilgus scored in the paint.
Vezzosi's three-pointer cut Saint Vincent's lead to 75-73 with 18 seconds left. Kilgus hit one of two free throws to push the lead back to three. Grove City had two opportunities in the closing moments to tie the game, down three, but did not convert.
Saint Vincent led 31-26 and led for much of the second half. The Wolverines forged a 46-46 tie with two minutes left in the third quarter on a steal and layup by sophomore guard
Megan Kallock (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Salem).
Grove City finally took its first lead of the second half with 36 seconds left in regulation on Vezzosi's three-pointer. Kilgus tied the game with 16 seconds left. Grove City had an opportunity to win at the end of regulation but did not score.
Freshman forward
Kat Goetz (Pittsburgh, Pa./Avonworth) pulled down nine rebounds for Grove City. Bowen added seven rebounds. Saint Vincent outrebounded Grove City, 54-42.
For the game, Grove City shot 29 of 81 (36 percent) while Saint Vincent hit 28 of 70 (40 percent) attempts from the floor.
Senior guard
Jordan McConnell (Smithville, Ohio/Smithville) recorded seven assists for Grove City and Goetz assisted three field goals. Goetz and Vezzosi both had three steals. Senior forward
Jessica Kimbrell (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville) blocked two shots.
Saint Vincent turned over the ball 25 times, but only four total times in the fourth quarter and overtime. Nine of Grove City's 20 turnovers came in the fourth quarter and overtime.
Kilgus led Saint Vincent with 17 points.
Monday's game marked the end of the conference schedule for both teams. Saint Vincent owns a half-game lead over Grove City in the conference standings. Washington & Jefferson is 6-0 but has not played since February 27 due to COVID-19 protocols. Neither Grove City nor Saint Vincent played W&J this season.
Grove City will host Geneva in a non-conference game Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Grove City College Arena.
