NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's golf team opened the 2021 spring season by placing fourth at the Westminster Invitational, held Saturday afternoon at New Castle Country Club. Grove City finished the day with a team score of 448. Host Westminster won the event with a 327.

Senior Steph Croll (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock) tied for 12th overall with a 103. Junior Kaylee Grieb (Wexford, Pa./Homeschooled) took 14th with a 105 while junior Madeline Temple (Butler, Pa./Butler) earned 20th with a 118.

Senior Ally Winters (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) finished 21st by shooting a 122 and senior Taylor Williams (Hughesville, Pa.) carded a 135, good for 26th.

Westminster's Morgan Byers shot an 81 to earn medalist. Twenty-eight women competed in the event.

Grove City returns to action Saturday, April 10 by hosting its annual Spring Invitational at Grove City Country Club.
