Ryan Kalbfus

Ryan Kalbfus recently concluded his second season as assistant baseball coach at Grove City College. Kalbfus came to Grove City after playing and coaching at Division II Gannon University in Erie, Pa.

After helping Grove City to 27 wins in 2024, the Wolverines captured the Presidents' Athletic Conference title in 2025. The Wolverines won a program-record 31 games and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the second time in program history. 

Senior pitcher David Leslie and sophomore third baseman/pitcher Sam Bevin both earned All-America honors while senior second baseman Luke Vittone captured All-Region distinction.

A native of Penfield, N.Y., Kalbfus started at third base for the Golden Knights and helped the program to two NCAA Tournament berths. Gannon won the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference's Western Division title in 2022. 

He then joined the coaching staff for the 2022-23 academic year. He has also spent several summer as a coach with the Diamond Pro Baseball organization in western New York.

Kalbfus earned PSAC Scholar Athlete honors as a player at Gannon. He also twice earned the Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement award. 

Kalbfus graduated with a bachelor's degree in supply chain management from Gannon. He also owns a master's degree in business analytics from Gannon.
