A longtime member of the Grove City athletic department, Rick Hawke enters his 10th year as head athletic trainer.
The College promoted him to head trainer in 2016 after 18 total years as assistant athletic trainer. Hawke originally came to Grove City in 1997 as assistant athletic trainer.
He worked five seasons at Grove City before moving to Union (Pa.) High School for two years. Hawke then returned to the College prior to the 2004-05 academic year.
He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, the Eastern Athletic Trainers Association and the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers’ Society.
Hawke earned his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Slippery Rock University in 1996. He then added his master’s degree in athletic training from the University of Virginia in 1997. He lives in Grove City with his wife Brenda and their three children. His son Caleb is a senior cross country/track and field performer at the College.
