A 1980 Grove City College graduate, Dr. Jim Thrasher is passionate about and committed to the Athletic Department’s mission to the Christ-centered development of student athletes as people, competitors, and teammates. He deems it a privilege to step alongside the other coaches in the development of a culture which competes for championships in a manner that glorifies God. He has invested in many student athletes and teams in his four-decade career at the College.

Thrasher has coached on the high school and collegiate levels. In 2010 Thrasher guided the Grove City men’s club lacrosse team, who were ranked ninth in the country, to the MCLA  Division II National Championships.

He is an Associate Professor of Biblical and Religious Studies and Humanities and serves as the Senior Advisor to the Vice President for Student Recruitment.
