GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Two late rallies helped the Grove City College softball team sweep a home Presidents' Athletic Conference doubleheader Monday evening from Chatham at College. Grove City scored three late runs in the opener to earn a 6-3 victory. In Game Two, Grove City used a five-run sixth inning to rally past Chatham, 8-4.

Maci Linhart (Columbiana, Ohio/Columbiana) scored on an error, cutting the lead in half.

Brooke Brodie (Mogadore, Ohio/Mogadore) belted a go-ahead two-run double that scored sophomore shortstop
Rylie Eaton (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) and sophomore pinch hitter
Lily DeMeio (Renfrew, Pa./Butler). Eaton and DeMeio both walked earlier in the inning.
Brodie and Linhart then scored on a single from freshman left fielder
Evelyn Montone (Allentown, Pa./Parkland). Montone scored the fifth run of the inning when senior catcher
Lauren Harris (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) doubled to center field.
Montone gave Grove City an early 1-0 lead when her first inning groundout scored Linhart. Grove City reclaimed a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning when freshman
Abigail Meadors (Warren, Ohio/Champion) roped a pinch-hit single that scored freshman pinch runner

Erin Mulholland (Malvern, Pa./Delaware County Christian) both doubled while going 3 for 4. Brodie finished 2 for 2 with a pair of walks.

Alexis Jackson (Coventry Township, Ohio/Coventry) earned the win in relief by pitching two scoreless innings. Brodie started and allowed one earned run in five innings.
Grove City broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the fifth of Game One as Meadors doubled in Mulholland. The Wolverines added two runs in the sixth as Montone singled in Brodie and Linhart later scored on a fielder's choice.
Brodie's two-run single in the second inning opened the scoring. Meadors pushed the lead to 3-0 in the third by driving in Montone with a single. Brodie and Meadors both went 2 for 3 while Montone finished 2 for 4.
Meadors fired a four-hitter to earn the win. She struck out 10 batters in seven innings.
Grove City will host conference leader Allegheny (10-2 PAC) at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in a doubleheader at College Field.
